Reviewing Candidate Applications
A critical component to the SuccessFactors “Job Requisition” module is where you review candidate applications. It enables hiring managers, search chairs and search committee members access to all relevant candidate details.

The system includes several automation tools that greatly benefit your recruitment efforts, as highlighted in Fun Fact Friday Volume 4. For example, you receive real-time notifications when candidates submit their applications and are in the “New Application” status, as shown in the screenshot to the left. This enables timely engagement in the hiring process.
After selecting “New Application,” you will see the screen below listing the applicants. If there are multiple applicants, all their names will be displayed. This view shows initial information for review, including their name, status, applicant type, application date, and Veteran’s Status. This provides a bird’s eye view of the information before diving deeper into the application. By clicking the candidate’s name, you will see their full application.

The layout in the following screenshot shows the details upon opening the application. This displays key information such as the application date, responses to pre-screening questions, and references in one location. You can easily switch between a candidate’s resume and documents, check activity, and view the applicant’s history and audit details in one system. This comprehensive overview develops a thorough understanding of each candidate, empowering you to make informed decisions in the hiring process.

The dropdown menu in the screenshot below makes accessing additional information about each applicant easy. With just a click, you can review Application Information, Profile Information, Work Experience Within the Organization, Work Experience, and more.

Following your review of the candidate’s application, you can easily advance the candidate to the next step in the hiring process or to a different status, as shown in the screenshot below.

Providing access to comprehensive candidate information, sending automated notifications, and enabling easy navigation between documents enable hiring teams to review candidate applications and make informed decisions. This level of transparency and detail ensures you can confidently choose the best candidates based on complete data.
